The Labyrinth

Step foot into the labyrinth and navigate the winding paths to find freedom. Select a key, and find your way to the end of the maze. The pillars in the sky will help guide your way.

This project explores the idea of an open expansive game set in a world inspired by The Maze Runner. There are 5 keys that correspond to a pillar in the maze, and the player may escape upon finding the correct pillar. Currently, the labyrinth and movement systems have basic functionalities, but there are many aspects that have yet to be explored and improved upon. Implementing, traps and moving walls to change the paths in the maze could improve gameplay making the maze unpredictable. In addition, a better movement system could help improve the overall feel of the game, implementing aspects such as climbing, crouching, and sliding. Finally, improving the environment could add traversal puzzles, requiring the player to find a way around obstacles to continue.
